50:11. ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਸੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਾਦ ਦੇ ਪਿੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਠਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਏਹ ਭਾਰੀ ਸੋਗ ਹੈ ਏਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਆਬੇਲ ਮਿਸਰਾਈਮ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਰਦਨ ਪਾਰ ਹੈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ

50:11. When the Canaanites who lived in the land saw them mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, "This is a very sad occasion for the Egyptians." That is why its name was called Abel Mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.

50:11. The local residents, the Canaanites, watched them mourning at the threshing floor of Atad. Then they renamed that place (which is near the Jordan) Abel-mizraim, for they said, "This is a place of deep mourning for these Egyptians."

50:11. And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abel-mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.

50:11. When the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning on the threshing floor of Atad, they said, "This is a grievous mourning by the Egyptians." Therefore the place was named Abel-mizraim; it is beyond the Jordan.

50:11. When the people who lived in Canaan saw the funeral service at Goren Atad, they said, "This is a time of great sorrow for those Egyptians." So now that place across the Jordan River is named Abel Mizraim.
