4:23. ਅਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਹ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰੇ ਅਰ ਤੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ

4:23. and I said to you, 'Let my son go that he may serve me,' but since you have refused to let him go, I will surely kill your son, your firstborn!"'"

4:23. I commanded you, "Let my son go, so he can worship me." But since you have refused, I will now kill your firstborn son!'"

4:23. and I have said unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me; and thou hast refused to let him go: behold, I will slay thy son, thy first-born.

4:23. Israel is my firstborn son. And I am telling you to let my son go and worship me. If you refuse to let Israel go, then I will kill your firstborn son.'"
