47:8. ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਏਹ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ, ਹੇ ਮੌਜਣੇ! ਜਿਹੜੀ ਨਿਚਿੰਤ ਬਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ! ਮੈਂ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਬੈਠਾਂਗੀ, ਮੈਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾਂਗੀ।

47:8. So now, listen to this, O one who lives so lavishly, who lives securely, who says to herself, 'I am unique! No one can compare to me! I will never have to live as a widow; I will never lose my children.'

47:8. "Listen to this, you pleasure-loving kingdom, living at ease and feeling secure. You say, 'I am the only one, and there is no other. I will never be a widow or lose my children.'

47:8. Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

47:8. Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, "I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children":

47:8. Therefore hear now this, [thou that art] given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I [am,] and none else beside me; I shall not sit [as] a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

47:8. Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, "I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children":

47:8. Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and there is none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

47:8. And now, hear this, O luxurious one, Who is sitting confidently -- Who is saying in her heart, `I [am], and none else, I sit not a widow, nor know bereavement.`

47:8. So now listen, you who love only pleasure! Feeling so safe, you tell yourself, 'I alone am important, and no one else matters. I will never be a widow or lose my children.'
