17:5. ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਐਉਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਸਰਾਪ ਉਸ ਮਰਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਬਸ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

17:5. The LORD says, "I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD.

17:5. This is what the LORD says: "Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.

17:5. Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah.

17:5. This is what the Lord says: "Bad things will happen to those who trust only other people. Bad things will happen to those who depend on others for strength. That is because they have stopped trusting the Lord.
