2:37. ਉੱਥੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਨਿੱਕਲੇਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੈਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਫਲ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।।

2:37. Moreover, you will come away from Egypt with your hands covering your faces in sorrow and shame because the LORD will not allow your reliance on them to be successful and you will not gain any help from them.

2:37. In despair, you will be led into exile with your hands on your heads, for the LORD has rejected the nations you trust. They will not help you at all.

2:37. From thence also shalt thou go forth, with thy hands upon thy head: for Jehovah hath rejected those in whom thou trustest, and thou shalt not prosper with them.

2:37. From it too you will come away with your hands on your head, for the LORD has rejected those in whom you trust, and you will not prosper by them.

2:37. Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.

2:37. So you will eventually leave Egypt too, and you will hide your face in shame. You trusted these countries, but the Lord rejected them, so they cannot help you win.
