1:12. ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖॽ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਾਂਗੇ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੈਂ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਉਂ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਚਟਾਨ, ਤੈਂ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਹੈ।

1:12. LORD, you have been active from ancient times; my sovereign God, you are immortal. LORD, you have made them your instrument of judgment. Protector, you have appointed them as your instrument of punishment.

1:12. O LORD my God, my Holy One, you who are eternal-- surely you do not plan to wipe us out? O LORD,] our Rock, you have sent these Babylonians to correct us, to punish us for our many sins.

1:12. Art not thou from everlasting, O Jehovah my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O Jehovah, thou hast ordained him for judgment; and thou, O Rock, hast established him for correction.

1:12. Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them as a judgment, and you, O Rock, have established them for reproof.

1:12. [Art] thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

1:12. Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them as a judgment; and thou, O Rock, hast established them for chastisement.

1:12. Art not thou from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained him for judgment; and thou, O Rock, hast established him for correction.

1:12. Art not Thou of old, O Jehovah, my God, my Holy One? We do not die, O Jehovah, For judgment Thou hast appointed it, And, O Rock, for reproof Thou hast founded it.

1:12. Lord, you are the one who lives forever! You are my holy God who never dies! Lord, you created the Babylonians to do what must be done. Our Rock, you created them to punish people.
