8:9. ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੂਏ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਾਹ! ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਏ ਨੂੰ, ਆ! ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਨੂੰ, ਇਹ ਕਰ! ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ

8:9. For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to this one, 'Go' and he goes, and to another 'Come' and he comes, and to my slave 'Do this' and he does it."

8:9. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, 'Go,' and they go, or 'Come,' and they come. And if I say to my slaves, 'Do this,' they do it."
