15:17. ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਗਾਠ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿਓ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਤੀਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੋੱਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਏਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ

15:17. you shall take an awl and pierce a hole through his ear to the door. Then he will become your servant permanently (this applies to your female servant as well).

15:17. In that case, take an awl and push it through his earlobe into the door. After that, he will be your servant for life. And do the same for your female servants.

15:17. then thou shalt take an awl, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maid-servant thou shalt do likewise.

15:17. then thou hast taken the awl, and hast put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he hath been to thee a servant age-during; and also to thy handmaid thou dost do so.

15:17. Make this servant put his ear against your door and use a sharp tool to make a hole in his ear. This will show that he is your slave forever. You must do this even to the women slaves who want to stay with you.

15:17. then you shall take an awl, and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also to your maid-servant you shall do likewise.
