2:14. ਸੋ ਜਦ ਬਾਲਕ ਲਹੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਆਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸ਼ਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੇ

2:14. Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death (that is, the devil),

2:14. Because God's children are human beings-- made of flesh and blood-- the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
