14. ਅਰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਅਸੀ ਭੀ ਕੀ ਕਰਿਏ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰੋ, ਨਾ ਊਜ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਲਓ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਰਹੋ ।।

14. ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ?” ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਲਾਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਲਵੋ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ ਰਹੋ।”
